La Panza Ranch grows two varieties of Spanish olives, Arbequina and Arbosana, as well as one Greek olive, Koroneiki. These Mediterranean olives grow wonderfully in the California soil and climate, just as they would in their native lands. To create the Chef Blend, all three varieties are picked at the point when they’re at maximum maturity. Within hours, the olives are milled and pressed to create an extra virgin olive oil that tastes as fresh as possible.
Attributes: The Chef Blend is fresh and velvety smooth with fruity tasting notes. To balance it out, this extra virgin olive oil also has subtle bitter tones that complement the freshness.
